they lived as foreigners in Egypt. God brought them out of Egypt by his great power, and for 40 years
he endured them in the desert. He destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan and made his people the owners of the land.
All of this took about 450 years. “After this he gave them judges until the time of the prophet Samuel."

AM 3000 or 1006 BC Temple of Salomo inaugurated 490 years later (70x7) = AM 3490 or 516 BC 2nd temple completed.

Question: how do you explane 70x7? is there a Biblical reason for?

Thanks John Mieras

Marco said...

Thank you for your interest.

The Bible speaks about 70x7 or 490 years in Dan 9:24
In Matthew 18: 21-22 (forgive to 70x7)

The 70-year exile was a punishment because not all the Sabbath years were respected. (Lev 26: 31-35)
(After 6 years, 1 year rest for the land - Lev 25: 3-4)

70x7= for 490 years

From the end of 70 years exile, 490 years back, we come to Solomon and the completion of the 1st Temple.
After Solomon we have the Division of the Kingdom.

In 3490 AM the second temple was inaugurated.

Thanks a lot Marco, that will help.

The Christian epoch for creation Adam is 4006 BC.
Where in my Bible i can find a confirmation of the year 4006 BC or Anno Mundi year 0?

Is that the King James Bible?
Please can you show me!
Thanks John

Concerning 4006 BC - That's about the year in which we come, with
the generations of Adam to Jacob, and all further reign of the kings, as you can see.
In the Bible we find nowhere a count from zero or from 4006 BC.
Some predictions can also help. (The 480 years after the Exodus 1ki 6: 1 -
Also those 490 years and the 70 years of Exile - The 70 weeks of Daniel 9:24) - with greetings

Thanks Marco,

I found this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ussher_chronology

Ussher's chronology today[edit]
It may be an accident of history that Ussher's chronology remains so well known while those of Scaliger and Bede, amongst others, have slipped into obscurity. From William Lloyd's 1701 edition onwards, annotated editions of the immensely influential King James translation of the Bible began to include his revised chronology with their marginal annotations and cross-references. The first page of Genesis was annotated with Ussher's date of Creation, 4004 BC, though in reality, Ussher's Annales is estimated to have relied on the Bible for only one sixth of its volume.[clarification needed] It was included in the widely distributed Scofield Reference Bible. More modern translations of the Bible usually omit the chronology, but there are still many copies of the annotated King James in circulation.
